1. Who was the first person to think a pendulum could be used as a timekeeper?: Galileo Galilei
2. Who was the first person to build such a timekeeper?: Christiaan Huygens
3. Where are you likely to see a pendulum working?: Grandfather Clocks
4. What variable affects the number of swings in a given amount of time?: The length of the pendalum
5. What is a controlled experiment?: It is when the variables are the same
6. How do such experiments help scientists learn something new?: They will learn that pendalums can change the number of swings depending on the length string.
